STORMBUSTER
PINNACLE OF FR WATERPROOF
It may be hard to imagine now but there was a time when the Stormbsuter range of FR waterproof workwear did not exist, it was an empty spot on the roster that we knew had to be filled. The market asked for a dedicated FR waterproof range of ROOTS workwear and we knew we had to provide it and with knowledge of our prior work, we wanted to hit the nail on the head right away. Now years later the work speaks for itself with thousands of people over the world calling Stormbuster their daily companion.
ONE FOR EVERY OCCASION
The Stormbuster range consists of two varieties, the Stormbuster Classic and the Stormbuster Contractor. We trust that by now you are used to our pragmatic naming conventions, you know like the Flamebuster is called Flamebuster because it busts flames, Stormbuster because it busts storms and Classic, well, because it's a Classic of course.
The Classic range is where you find the two-tone navy/yellow and navy/orange garments that have become synonymous with Stormbuster. Contractor is the go-to if a full orange or yellow colouration is what you're looking for. Both of course with the quality and all usual bell and whistles you have come to expect from a ROOTS.
THE SECRET OF THE CHEF
At ROOTS we believe that reaching the set requirements to conform with the safety standards is only the start, surpassing these requirements is the true endgame. The Stormbuster is no different in that regard especially when it comes to waterproofness which is still best in class after all these years. But what is the secret of the chef that makes this possible? Like always that would be the fabric. It goes without saying that the design that our R&D has put into the garments is vital and is what makes the Stormbuster functional and comfortable to wear but the fabric is where it all starts out.
In the case of Stormbuster, this fabric is a 99% polyester 1% antistatic treated FR fabric of the outer shell combined with the detachable and swappable inner liners. This combination is what makes the Stormbuster what is it today. There are also of course the matching trousers and bibs to complete the whole set.
When ROOTS first produced FR jackets several years ago, we supplied the outer shell together with a separately bagged detachable winter liner as one item. In the past few years, we have seen an immense growth of market share in this product range. Due to the growing numbers we also were asked the question for different winter liners as our wearers work in a variety of environments, each with different risk levels, but also with different levels of temperatures.
ROOTS customers now have the choice to purchase a varied range of interactive liners depending on their working environment. In order to advance to the customers’ demands, ROOTS decided to develop a series of winter liners that fit our Stormbuster Waterproof range as well as the Multi Protector All-Weather range.
