ANNUAL ELECTRIC ARC SEMINAR

The electric arc seminar in Germany is hosted with two eminent speakers; Professor Holger Schau who is one of the founders of the IEC61482-1-2 European electric arc test and Mr Jürgen Haase; former director of STFI test laboratory and deeply involved in the development of the EN1149 antistatic standards.

The Valencia seminar has the honour of having Mr. Hugh Hoagland as the main speaker. Mr Hoagland is an expert in the field of electric arc in general, but an absolute ‘guru’ when it comes to the open arc testing conforming the IEC61482-1-1 test method, which results in the so-called NFPA calorific rating of fabrics and garments. Both seminars include live electric arc tests, test method information surrounding the standard requirements and an open question and answer session with the professors themselves.
